Relational Sessions
Embodied Relational Sessions
How we relate begins with how we inhabit ourselves.
Embodied Relational Sessions are an invitation to explore the way you experience connection, intimacy, boundaries, communication and relationship through the body, not only through conversation.
We often understand our relational patterns intellectually, yet find ourselves repeating them. We may know that we want to speak more clearly, set a boundary, receive affection, remain present during conflict or allow ourselves to be seen, while the body responds differently.
It may tighten, withdraw, freeze, reach, protect, accommodate or disconnect.
Relational work brings curiosity to these responses.
What We Explore
Sessions may include:
– Embodied communication and conscious relating
– Boundaries, consent and choice
– Giving and receiving
– Relational patterns and protective responses
– Attachment and connection
– Intimacy and vulnerability
– Emotional expression
– Interoception and body awareness
– Nervous system regulation
– Presence and eye contact
– Breath, movement and somatic inquiry
– The relationship between desire, instinct and boundaries
– Learning to recognise and communicate an authentic yes, no, maybe, more, less or not yet
Individual sessions can support you in understanding how you meet friendship, dating, partnership, intimacy, family relationships and connection more broadly.
The facilitator becomes a relational point of reference through which patterns can be noticed and new ways of communicating, expressing and responding can be practised safely and consciously.

Embodied Relational Work
"In front of a calm mind the whole universe surrenders"
Rather than asking only, “Why do I do this?”
We begin to explore:
“What happens inside me when I am actually in relationship with another person?”
The Body as Part of the Conversation
Relational patterns do not exist only in our thoughts.
They can appear in our breath, posture, voice, movement, muscular tension, impulses, sensations and the distance we naturally create or close between ourselves and another person.
During a session, we slow the relational experience down enough to notice these responses as they happen.
From there, different possibilities can be explored through lived experience rather than simply discussed.
You may practise saying no and discovering what happens in your body.
Couples and Partners
Relational sessions are also available for couples and partners who want to explore how they meet one another beyond habitual roles and established patterns.
The work can support greater awareness around communication, boundaries, listening, intimacy, giving and receiving, conflict, closeness, autonomy and emotional presence.
The intention is not to decide who is right or wrong.
It is to create enough space for each person to recognise their own experience while becoming more available to the experience of the other.
This Work May Be For You If…
You want to understand why certain relational patterns keep repeating.
You find it difficult to express your needs or boundaries.
You tend to overgive, withdraw, pursue, accommodate or disconnect.
You want to experience greater presence within intimacy.
You understand your patterns intellectually but want to explore them through the body.
You want to develop clearer communication and greater capacity for giving and receiving.
Or perhaps nothing is particularly “wrong.”
You simply want to become more conscious of how you meet another human being while remaining connected to yourself.
You may explore asking directly for what you want.
You may notice how easily you give but how difficult it feels to receive.
You may discover what happens when somebody comes closer, moves away, looks at you, disagrees with you or simply remains present with you.
The intention is not to perform relationship correctly. It is to develop greater awareness, agency and choice within relationship.
What Can a Session Look Like?
Every session is different and develops according to what is present for you.
Depending on your intention, a session may combine conversation with somatic inquiry, breath, movement, relational exercises, boundary and consent practices, conscious eye contact, proximity and distance exercises, or intentional touch where appropriate and mutually agreed upon.
Nothing is assumed.
Touch is never an obligation and is not necessary for relational work to take place. Any touch that forms part of a session is approached consciously, with clear communication, consent and the possibility of changing your mind at any moment.
Individual Relational Sessions
You do not need to be in a relationship to explore relational work.
