Retreats & Collaborations

The process of remembering that you are a soul having a human experience, awakening your inner light and powering others through it.

Step away from the familiar. Enter an experience that has time to unfold.

Several times throughout the year, we move beyond individual sessions and monthly workshops into longer, immersive retreat experiences.

Our retreats are offered approximately three times a year, in Malta and internationally, and are created for people who feel called to spend more time exploring embodiment, relationship, presence, self-inquiry and their connection with the world around them.

A retreat gives us something that an individual session or single-day experience cannot always offer:

time.

Time for the nervous system to settle.

Time to become curious.

Time to move beyond the first layer of an experience.

Time to be alone.

Time to be in relationship.

Time to rest.

Time to allow what has been experienced to integrate before returning to everyday life.

These are not retreats where you are expected to become somebody new.

They are invitations to meet more intimately what is already here.

"In front of a calm mind the whole universe surrenders"

Vision Quest Egypt

A journey through land, history, silence and self-inquiry.

Vision Quest Egypt is one of our international immersive journeys, taking us through Egypt and into landscapes that have carried human ritual, mystery, civilisation and contemplation for thousands of years.

Our journey moves through extraordinary places including Cairo, Giza, Luxor, Aswan and the Bahariya Desert.

But Vision Quest is not simply a tour of Egypt.

Egypt becomes the landscape through which we travel, while another journey takes place internally.

We move between ancient sites, temples, desert landscapes, shared experiences, periods of reflection and embodied practices that invite us to become more attentive to what is happening within us.

Why a Vision Quest?

Across cultures, people have stepped outside their familiar environments when seeking perspective.

There is something powerful about leaving behind our routines, roles and habitual reference points.

When the familiar becomes quieter, different questions can emerge.

What am I moving towards?

What am I ready to leave behind?

What matters now?

What am I listening to?

What vision am I willing to give form to in my life?

Vision Quest Egypt creates a container for those questions without demanding predetermined answers.

The journey itself becomes part of the inquiry.

The Experience

Throughout our time together, we weave travel and exploration with embodied and reflective practices.

Depending on the journey, this may include:

– Somatic movement and embodied awareness
– Breathwork
– Meditation
– Self-inquiry
– Journaling
– Sharing circles
– Ritual and intentional practices
– Silence and contemplation
– Time in nature and the desert
– Relational exercises
– Movement and expression
– Integration practices
– Visits to ancient temples and sacred sites
– Space for rest, exploration and simply experiencing Egypt

There is a rhythm between outer exploration and inner listening.

You may find yourself standing somewhere that has existed for thousands of years and noticing something very simple:

your breath,

your body,

your choices,

your life,

and the direction in which you want to walk next.

The Sacred Return

Returning to the body. Returning to relationship. Returning to what is already within you.

The Sacred Return is an immersive embodied retreat experience centred around the movement from:

Noticing → Experiencing → Embodying

It brings together somatic practice, relational exploration, conscious touch, breath, movement, consent, self-inquiry, rest and community.

Rather than filling every moment with activity, we create a rhythm that allows experiences to unfold and settle.

There are moments of movement and moments of stillness.

Individual inquiry and relational practice.

Giving and receiving.

Expression and silence.

Connection and solitude.

The retreat becomes a temporary living laboratory in which we can explore how we meet ourselves while simultaneously being in relationship with other people.

What We Explore

Throughout The Sacred Return, practices may include:

– Somatic and embodied movement
– Breathwork
– Dynamic meditation
– Body awareness and interoception
– Conscious relating
– Consent and boundaries
– Giving and receiving
– Intentional touch
– Partner and group practices
– Self-inquiry and journaling
– Emotional expression
– Instinct and relational awareness
– Face, jaw and head release
– Massage and conscious touch practices
– Sharing circles
– Ecstatic and intuitive movement
– Deep rest
– Integration

No two retreats are identical.

The practices respond to the theme of the retreat, the environment and the group that gathers.

You Do Not Need to Come With a Partner

The Sacred Return is relational, but it is not a couples retreat.

You are welcome to come alone, with a friend or with a partner.

Relational exercises allow us to practise meeting different human beings rather than remaining exclusively within familiar dynamics.

Couples who attend are also given the opportunity to experience practices together where appropriate.

You are never required to participate in touch or partnered practices.

Consent remains active throughout the retreat.

A yes can become a no.

A no does not require justification.

A maybe can remain a maybe.

You can pause.

You can observe.

You can change your mind.

These moments are not interruptions to the work.

They are part of the work.

Face Touch Labs with Indre

The face as a landscape of sensation, expression and relationship.

An important element within selected Sacred Return Retreats is our collaboration with Indre, whose holistic approach brings another dimension to our exploration of conscious touch, receiving and embodied presence.

Together, we facilitate Face Touch Labs, experiential spaces where participants are introduced to ways of meeting the face, jaw and head with greater sensitivity, attention and awareness.

Our faces are extraordinarily expressive.

The jaw can tighten.

The eyes can protect or soften.

The forehead contracts.

The breath changes.

Expression can reveal what words sometimes do not.

The Face Touch Labs invite us to slow this entire process down.

Indre brings her holistic understanding of the face and her approach to touch into the retreat environment

I hold the relational and embodied dimension of the laboratory, bringing attention to consent, communication, boundaries, giving, receiving and what happens within us when we enter intentional touch with another person.

Together, these approaches create something that goes beyond learning a technique.

The practice becomes relational.

Learning Through Giving and Receiving

Participants have opportunities to experience both sides of the practice.

To give.

To receive.

To ask.

To listen.

To pause.

To notice pressure.

To communicate preference.

To recognise when something feels like enough.

To discover whether receiving feels easy, vulnerable, unfamiliar or deeply nourishing.

The purpose is not to perform the practice perfectly.

We are exploring the quality of attention we bring to another human being.

Can I touch without assuming?

Can I listen through my hands?

Can I receive without needing to give something back?

Can I tell someone what feels right for me?

Can I remain connected to myself while I am caring for another?

This is where touch becomes an embodied relational practice.
